“The creative habit is like a drug. The particular obsession changes, but the excitement, the thrill of your creation lasts.”
Art is my way of seeing the world. It is both the path I have chosen to self discovery and a way in which I understand and explain things. I’d like to think that art and creativity can get me the answers I need, while helping me find the answers I want. I want to learn, explore, teach, fight, forgive, question, love, mystify and express. If there is an opportunity given to me to learn something new, something about life or something about myself, I’m going to take it. Even if it means struggling everyday to forgive an old heartbreak, reinventing myself, or completely altering my opinions. In creation I find power and truth. Every human being is a creation of the people they surround themselves with. Consider me a strong canvas that can handle many layers. Just because you aren’t on the surface or in the center, doesn’t mean you don’t make what is that much better. A piece of art is never about subject so much as about how it was made. What is its history? Why was it created? The same can be said for everything that exists in this world. So it goes.
